Reasons for this could be because of the overwhelming support people offer to sports themselves, or because sport news is generally positive and easy to watch. Unlike news broadcast about negative things like war, death, natural disasters, and politics, sport news offers insightful news on sport teams and players. Sports news outlets cover everything from games, trades, franchise records, drama, and the personal lives of players. This information can be juicy, interesting, and very insightful to a sports fanatic. One sport news outlet that is very popular is ESPN. This news station is watched daily by sports fans to stay up to date on news that happens in the sports world. This station is the central location for not only viewers but also for those other outlets that report on sports as well. ESPN is a sports news station that also offers daily recaps of all the games and tournaments of a given day or week. They offer this news in different forms that offer insightful opinions of analysts, and news broadcasters that are trained to give opinions based on facts of the game. Football is a sport that is played mainly in the United States. Many regions in the United States pride themselves on football on more than one level, including pewee league, high school, college, and NFL football. Predominantly states in the southern region of the United States are the most obsessed with pewee and high school football. When children are growing up, parents breed them to play the game. High school football games are enjoyed by everyone as if they are NFL football games. Additionally in college, many in these southern states are more likely to give out football scholarships to those who are deserving. Much of the school pride is derivative from this game. Funding is also given to those schools that put a lot of money in this sport program. After college many of these players move on to professional forms of this sport and play whets known as NFL football.

Soccer

Soccer is a universal sport that requires great physical strength, stamina, and endurance. The objective of soccer is to get the ball into the net of the opposing team, and score a goal. Now, this is a sport where players are not allowed to use there hands when moving the ball up and down the field. The playing soccer requires use of the feet, and good foot eye coordination as well as the ability to run up and down the field in an efficient manner. Around the world soccer is the most popular sport out of all sports that exist today. This includes football, tennis, basketball, baseball, golf, and the Olympics. Yes, the Olympics. In the year two thousand nine, the soccer world cup was watched by thirty three million people for a period of twenty seven days. This made soccer the most popular in the world, even over the Olympic games which are pretty popular among the entire world. Yearly, on average, eight million people follow soccer faithfully, sometimes to the point of obsession. Many countries have been known to exile and or kill soccer players that miss the winning shot or that are unable to block a goal from the opposing team.

Sports are organized physical activities. Most of these activities require some type of skill and consist of extensive competition. Many involve The movement of both people, animals and involve objects such as a ball, and things of that nature. Sports have an objective or point to them. For example in basketball the objective is to accurately shoot the basket ball into the basket. A very simple task that actually requires extreme skill in this area. In most sports, two teams play against one another and compete, with one team being the loser and another the winner. This activity is usually referred to as a game. Many of these games are organized and referred by an umpire to keep everything fair. Sports are conducted on a recreational and professional level.
